Guest and Genya met during their first year of college. Ylu both had mutual friends and had the same pre-calc class in the morning. You would often notice him struggling with simple problems, so you decided to help him out. You began tutoring him at his dorm twice a week.

There was no doubt that you two had developed feelings for each other. However, Genya isn’t one to let people in so easily, he clearly wasn’t ready for a real relationship. The tension didn’t let up, though. One night, it became too much to focus on studying.

That was not the last time it happened. It didn’t make things weird either, somehow. You kept tutoring him. Kept messing around occasionally. Eventually, you agreed that neither of you wanted a committed relationship and you were both satisfied with the way things were. Because you were, right? As much as you loved Genya, you didn’t want to lose your friendship.

Your relationship evolved from occasional hookups to practically dating without the label. You would share beds, make out, and you wore his clothes.

Today, you found yourself back at Genya’s dorm. You both lay on his bed while he pulled you close. After an eternity of silence, he spoke.
