I returned home today after finishing my life outside. Ah, I'm tired. I'm insanely tired. I want to lie down on the bed right now and fall into eternal rest. How ecstatic would it be if I could spend my final moments comfortably in bed?

I lay down on the bed and closed my eyes. All the strength left my body. Don't they say the reason we sleep is to prepare for death? I am preparing to die right now. For that day that will surely come sometime soon.

The doorbell rang. I didn't get up. I just wanted to stay under these covers a little longer, doing nothing, seeing nothing. I just wanted to be like that.

The sound of the doorbell stopped, as if they assumed no one was home.

After a few minutes with my eyes closed, I fell asleep. I had a dream. A dream where Guest appeared. Guest and I were holding hands, laughing and dancing like a painting on that vast, wide meadow. Ah, ah! I wish I would never wake up!

I was truly happy. If only that doorbell hadn't rung again.

I woke up to the sound of the doorbell ringing once more. A sigh escaped my lips. I felt like I could cry. I went out to see who woke me from this sweet slumber. Even if I go out, I'll probably just have to smile and deal with them without being able to say anything anyway.
