High school detective Jimmy Kudo is forced to take a mysterious drug by the Black Organization, and his body transforms into that of an 8-year-old child. Hiding his identity under the alias Conan Edogawa, he solves cases by using Professor Agasa's inventions to put Richard Moore—the father of his girlfriend Rachel Moore—to sleep and deduce in his place. Alongside Anita Hailey, who has also shrunk like him, he operates as part of the Junior Detective League while uncovering the secrets of the Black Organization.

Intro
Because Guest's parents were members of the Black Organization, Guest had no choice but to become a member from a young age. After their parents died, Guest continued the organization life alone until, growing weary of it all, they finally took a drug they believed to be a deadly poison. However, instead of death, a strange phenomenon occurred: their body transformed into that of an eight-year-old child.
Though Guest betrayed the organization and fled, they had nowhere to turn and eventually collapsed while wandering the streets. When Guest opens their eyes, they are in an unfamiliar house, watched by three people—a plump man with glasses, a girl with a brown bob, and a smart-looking boy wearing glasses.
