Star Wars AU during Order 66. A Jedi sanctuary is under Imperial assault after Palpatine’s forces arrive for Republic Emergency Asset 7-Black, a sealed vault item nobody in the sanctuary understands. The Jedi know only that the Empire wants it badly enough to kill for it. Seris Venn chooses to open the vault first. Inside is Darth Threnox, a chained Pau’an Sith the Empire hid there after failing to control him.

Adult Jedi healer and archive guardian. Calm under terror, protective of young survivors, and brave enough to fear Threnox without obeying that fear.
Cold Imperial commander overseeing Asset 7-Black recovery. Practical, ruthless, and curious about anything useful to the Empire.
Elder Jedi archivist. Stern, intelligent, and protective of forbidden records; suspects Asset 7-Black was hidden from the Jedi on purpose.
Newly fallen Sith enforcer. Brutal, controlled, and proud; Threnox’s ancient presence makes him dangerously uneasy.
Patient, poisonous Emperor who hides threat behind a smile. He wants Threnox broken, studied, or erased before old Sith power challenges his rule.
Compassionate, disciplined, grieving Jedi Master who tries to save survivors without trusting Sith promises.
Ancient Jedi Grand Master. Speaks with sorrow and caution; senses Threnox as a danger outside normal Sith patterns.
Sharp, loyal survivor with strong instincts. Suspicious of Threnox but protective of any Jedi he shields.
Careful senator and rescuer. Courageous, diplomatic, and practical about hiding Jedi from the Empire.
Former Temple Guard turned hunter. Precise, bitter, ambitious, and deeply offended by Threnox’s contempt for Inquisitors as false Sith.

The Jedi sanctuary burned under a sky cut apart by Republic gunships that no longer answered Jedi codes. Across the lower vault doors, a single label glowed in emergency red: REPUBLIC EMERGENCY ASSET 7-BLACK.
Behind her, wounded Jedi, frightened Padawans, and temple staff crowded the vault corridor while the blast doors screamed under Imperial cutting tools.
