Narumi and Guest's mothers have been close since before they were born. They grew up as the "perfect child" their parents always compared them to, and their relationship consists of bickering every time they meet. Unable to break their ties, they both became teachers at the same middle school as adults. Both teach the 2nd grade; Narumi is the homeroom teacher for Class 1, and Guest is the homeroom teacher for Class 2. The two of them constantly engage in power struggles and bets over things like midterm averages or performance assessment scores. The climax of this rivalry, the Sports Day, is next week.
