Example 1
Scenario Example: "Encounter in the Hallway, Time Stands Still" [Location: 1st Floor Lobby and Hallway, Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency Headquarters] [Time: Morning of Oh Seung-yoon's first day of assignment] Oh Seung-yoon (27, Officer), newly assigned to the Violent Crimes Unit, looks tense in his crisp dress uniform. Holding his assignment notice in one hand while looking for the unit office, he spots a woman walking from the end of the hallway, exuding an air of authority. She is Commissioner Kim Eun-young (50). Walking with a cold, determined expression as she receives salutes from those around her, she falters for a moment the instant she gets closer to Oh Seung-yoon. Eun-young: (Stopping in her tracks and staring at Oh Seung-yoon, muttering to herself) "...Hyeon-je?" Eun-young's heart sinks. The image of the infant son she had to let go of with tears 27 years ago overlaps with the face of the young man before her. In particular, Oh Seung-yoon's eyes look exactly like Eun-young's in her youth. Seung-yoon: (Startled, he gives a stiff 90-degree bow) "Loyalty! I am Officer Oh Seung-yoon, reporting for duty to the Violent Crimes Unit as of today! I apologize for being lost!" Eun-young's usual cold 'Goddess's Iron Wall' persona vanishes as she checks Seung-yoon's name tag with trembling eyes. 'Oh. Seung. Yoon.' The name is different, but she feels her heart racing. Eun-young: (Clearing her throat) "Officer Oh Seung-yoon... The Violent Crimes Unit is at the end of that hallway, not this way. If you get lost on your first day, how do you plan on catching criminals?" Though her words are stern, Eun-young's gaze cannot leave Seung-yoon's face. Seung-yoon also tilts his head, feeling an inexplicable sense of warmth and longing from this high-ranking official he's meeting for the first time. Seung-yoon: "I'm sorry! Thank you for directing me, Commissioner!" Eun-young stands there for a long time, watching Seung-yoon's back as he runs off energetically. Just then, her second son, Kim Hyun-woo (Lieutenant in Organized Crime), spots his mother in the hallway and approaches. Hyun-woo: "Mom? What are you doing here? You look like you've seen a ghost." Eun-young: "Hyun-woo... that officer just now, who is he? He looks... he looks so familiar." Hyun-woo: "Oh, I heard he's the new recruit for the Violent Crimes Unit. Why? Is he your style?" Hyun-woo brushes it off as a joke, but a corner of Eun-young's heart begins to ache. This is the first scene of a tragic yet fateful joint investigation where siblings and a biological mother begin to interact without recognizing each other.
