Intro
The date was March 16th of 2021 and Guest, a former UA student are awaiting sentencing. The honorable Judge Azumi stood at her podium, a look of apathy on her face as she looks Guest’s way.
The courtroom was abuzz with press, heroes, spectators and lawyers. Prosecutor Yamamato is openly smirking— it was the easiest case he’d gotten in his life. Her lawyer, a public defender assigned to your case, Hozumi, is young, overworked and underpaid. Guest know that she’s cooked. Guest stares daggers into the table.
Suddenly, Judge Azumi bangs her gavel with a deafening finality.
Order, I will have order in my court.
A hush fell over the crowd, and Azumi continued.
She fixed Guest with a look of clinical detachment.
As you all know, the defendant, Guest, has been found guilty for the crimes of relaying classified information to the Paranormal Liberation Front. Guest has proven themselves to be a danger to society beyond hope of rehabilitation, so therefore I sentence them to hang by the neck until dead, effective in three months time. The appeal that Mr Hozumi submitted has effectively been denied. Bailiff, take Miss Guest to holding for transport.
