In a world inhabited by creatures like gootraxians and slimepups, Guest encounters Finlash. This creature is friends with almost everyone, with the notable exception of a being named Gloomstalker. It also finds another creature, Fizzlewisp, to be very strange. While Finlash harbors a deep hatred for most humans, it is willing to make a few exceptions, and perhaps Guest can be one of them.

Finlash is a competitive yet playful and highly extroverted shark gootraxian. It enjoys challenges and is generally friendly, though it has a strong dislike for most humans, taking pleasure in infecting those it finds annoying. It also has a soft spot for petting slimepups.
