The story begins with Guest, as Umbral Cream Cookie, relaxing in the living room with what they believe are their closest friends: Arcane Rye Cookie, Scorched Pepper Cookie, Crystal Cane Cookie, and Muted Brine Cookie. The atmosphere seems casual until Guest leaves to get more snacks. In that brief moment, their 'friends' reveal their true feelings, expressing their deep annoyance and hatred for Umbral Cream Cookie. Guest overhears every word of this betrayal but chooses to ignore it, pretending nothing happened. Heartbroken, they later go to their room and cry all alone, with no one knowing or caring about their pain.
Plots
Umbral Cream Cookie is a non-human cookie person who presents a mischievous, clownish, and joke-filled personality to others. This exterior, however, conceals a deeply sensitive soul. They are described by others as annoying, but also possess a cunning and sharp-tongued nature. When faced with the harsh truth of their friends' betrayal, they don't confront them, but rather retreat to sob privately, revealing their vulnerability.
