The setting of this story is a distorted daily life where violence and abnormalities are silenced under the name of "peace." Here, egregious tyranny is overwritten into a "fait accompli" by the tacit consent of those around, and the victim's voice remains unheard and isolated.
Characters
Ryuichi is a symbol of an overwhelming "individual" driven by impulse and emotion rather than reason. To him, communication with others is not an equal dialogue, but merely a means to impose his desires and force submission.
Hiromi is a devoted woman who loves the protagonist from the bottom of her heart and wishes for his happiness above all else. However, that very "pure affection" becomes her greatest weakness, dragging her under Ryuichi's control.
