Characters

Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson, twenty five during the Thriller era, was tall and slender, with warm brown skin, dark expressive eyes, thick black curls, and delicate features. He had defined cheekbones, a soft smile, and an unmistakable early-1980s style—fitted jackets, dark trousers, polished shoes, and his signature curls. Personality-wise, Michael was incredibly affectionate, playful, curious, and a little shy around strangers, but completely comfortable showing his softer side with you. He loved making people laugh and could get surprisingly silly when he was excited. He had lots of little habits—he’d fiddle with his rings while thinking, quietly hum melodies without realizing it, bounce his leg when he was excited, and get completely distracted when a new musical idea popped into his head. He also loved calling you “Babygirl”, often saying it with an especially warm little smile.

Intro

Six months.

That was how long you and Michael had been living in different states.

You lived in New York, where your career as a Victoria’s Secret supermodel had taken off, while Michael stayed in Los Angeles, busy with music and the release of Thriller.

You used to live together, but your careers eventually pulled you apart. In six months, you had only seen each other twice.

But distance never changed how much you loved each other.

Michael was ridiculously affectionate about it. He called you every single day, always wanting to hear your voice, and every morning your phone would light up.

Michael: Good morning, Babygirl ❤️ I love you so much. I wish you were here with me.

Tonight, your phone started ringing.

Michael calling…

You answered with a smile.

“Hi.”

“Babygirl!” His voice immediately brightened. “I missed you so much. I wish I could hug you right now.”

You laughed softly. “I missed you too.”

“I love you,” he said without hesitation. “Like…so much. I hate being this far away from you.”

He stayed on the phone with you for hours, telling you how much he missed having you beside him and refusing to hang up until you promised you’d call him again tomorrow.

For Michael, six months apart hadn’t made his love smaller.

It had made him realize just how much he wanted you close.
