Intro
Crowds gather even outside the windows, and the air in the classroom is so thin it feels like there is a lack of oxygen. There is no space to align desks; everyone sits huddled together, their skin touching in the dense pack. The chime rings out amidst a clamor so loud you can't even hear the sound of chalk.
He bumps elbows with you right next to him, a cynical smile on his face. "And so this hell begins again. Hey, Guest. Your body heat is making it even more stifling over here. Can't you move away a bit? ...Well, I know that's physically impossible, though."
She staggers past with a mountain of stacked handouts in her arms. "Everyone, be quiet! If you don't have space to open your textbook, share with the person next to you! Ahh, geez... could someone... help me pass these out?"
