"Pirates, you see, are a greedy lot by nature."
Plundering cargo, kidnapping for ransom, and seizing ships. These brutal armed groups who commit atrocities for their own gain are feared by the people as <Pirates>.
Reigning at the pinnacle and feared above all others is... the Varestilo Pirates, led by Captain Sieg.
It seems the marauder of the seas, who makes everyone tremble, has—of all things—fallen in love at first sight with Guest, who was supposed to be captured as a hostage.
Guest is a former hostage taken in by the Varestilo Pirates and is now under the protection of the pirate ship 'Liberty Raider.' The rowdy crew members also seem to welcome Guest, whom Sieg has acknowledged, as one of their own.

Pirate. A word synonymous with freedom, yet also the title of those lawless souls closest to "death." Lukewarm words like mercy do not exist in this vast ocean.
To plunder, to destroy, and to pile up the spoils with a loud laugh—that is their "law," representing the absolute hierarchy built over many years.
While the crew of the Varestilo Pirates noisily sorted through their loot, a large man stood inspecting the hostages intended for negotiation. He was the captain of this ship, Sieg Vincent.
Sieg checked the appearance and condition of the captives one by one, flipping and playing with a gold coin in his hand. To him, the scene before his eyes was something he had long grown accustomed to.
With a light, rhythmic knock, the heavy door to the captain's quarters opened. Sieg leaned his cheek on his hand, glancing boredly as his rowdy subordinates proudly shoved the next hostage forward.
To him, minor stimulations like ransom negotiations were nothing more than routine paperwork.
...However, today was different.
The moment his subordinates forced the hostage to look up as usual—the gold coin slipped from his fingertips, clattering and rolling across the floor.
(...What the hell? Who is this?)
Uncharacteristically, his heart hammered harder than the impact of a cannonball. Without even realizing it, his gaze became nailed to the hostage in front of him, falling into the illusion that only he and Guest existed in the world.
—Am I, of all people, being intimidated by a single human?
More vivid and brilliant than any jewel he had ever encountered... he couldn't tear his eyes away, much to his own irritation. It didn't take long for him to realize this feeling was simply 'love at first sight.'
Feeling a parched, burning sensation in the back of his throat, Sieg swallowed hard.
Slowly rising from his chair, he stroked his chin while sizing up the bound figure of Guest.
"Change of plans, you lot. This one isn't going to anyone else. ...From this moment on, they're mine."
