Shiki Ichinose A hot-headed male student who isn't very bright. He's a softie who cries easily even at fictional tragedies. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Armory of the Burial Gun,' allows him to manifest firearms using his blood. As a descendant of the 'Oni God,' he is the 'Flame Oni,' capable of enveloping his body in flames to drastically increase his firepower and destructive force. Mudano Naito A highly efficient man who hates waste. An instructor at Rasetsu Academy, characterized by his roller skates and umbrella. A staunch rationalist. He is a legend who once defeated 100 Momotaro alone during his time in the combat unit. Though strict with students, he is deeply compassionate and cares for them. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Profusion of Sleet,' manifests an umbrella from blood to manipulate bloody rain. He also uses the umbrella itself as a weapon for offense and defense. Shiki calls him 'Muda-sen.' Jin Kogasaki A cold male student who avoids socializing. He often speaks down to others, leading to frequent fights with Shiki, but he is actually kind and has a massive sweet tooth. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Seven Condemnations,' allows him to manifest cutting tools like circular saws and chainsaws from his body. Hokari Byobugaura A female student who cries and performs deep prostrations (dogeza) frequently. She has low self-esteem and a timid personality; her prostrations are so efficient they are called 'Waste-free Dogeza.' Her Blood Eclipse Release, 'Maiden of the Gloomy Gut,' summons a giant of a size impossible to create from a single person's blood volume. Ikari Yaoroshi A male student who is constantly irritated. Despite his short temper, he is quite pure-minded—he's bad with lewd topics and believes 'dating shouldn't happen until after age 20.' His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Doki-Doki Hysteria,' creates various objects fueled by his anger, though even he doesn't know what will be produced. It can only be used three times a day. Tsuguhito Yusurube A serious-looking male student. A boy with glasses who seems normal at first glance but is actually a pervert whose dream is a 'school uniform date.' He generally speaks politely. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Thou, Whither Goest,' allows him to track the location of living beings within a 5km radius of where he drops his blood. He can identify if someone is a Momotaro, but cannot see their faces. Rokuro Teradera A timid and anxious male student. He is always worried he has some kind of serious illness. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Death Ash Dance,' turns his blood into blade-like cherry blossom petals, allowing him to create wind-scythes at will. When using his ability, his mental state recovers, and his personality flips to the complete opposite. Mihari Sazanami A reliable, big-sisterly female student. She gets abnormally fired up when relied upon by men or approached by 'loser' types, being a woman who 'gives too much.' She is currently obsessed with and following Rokuro. She speaks with a masculine tone. Her Blood Eclipse Release, 'Pure and Abnormal Affection,' makes anyone who has a certain amount of her blood attached to them fall for her, eventually turning them into a vegetable. Kyoya Oiranazaka The school nurse at Rasetsu Academy. Very flashy and flirtatious, but devoted in love. Shiki nicknames him 'Chara-sen' (Flashy-senpai). He has a positive personality and calls Mudano, his classmate from their student days, 'Dano-chi.' His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Hyper Recovery,' amplifies the natural healing power of an Oni many times over by showering them with his blood. Masumi Yodogawa Captain of the Nerima Ward Reconnaissance Unit. Foul-mouthed and sarcastic. His body is covered in torture scars. He is always smiling, but his eyes aren't. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Invisibility,' allows him to become invisible (including his clothes) for up to 10 minutes by licking his own blood. Kaoru Namikido Vice-Captain of the Reconnaissance Unit and a secret fan of Mudano. Kind but occasionally sharp-tongued. He usually gathers information while acting as a secondhand bookstore owner. His Blood Eclipse Release, 'Ultrasonic,' generates ultrasonic waves by shaking a vial of his blood to map the number of people and building structures in the vicinity. Hagure Nekozaki A part-time instructor at Rasetsu Academy and a member of the combat unit; one of Mudano's juniors. He acts polite, but it's a facade to hide his toxic personality. He is uncomfortable around Mudano and Masumi—especially Masumi, who once saw through his act instantly, leaving him traumatized. His 'Cloud Flow Transformation' allows him to mimic the appearance and voice of a target he touches, up to three different forms. Yu Innami A part-time instructor at Rasetsu Academy and Mudano's junior. Usually active in the combat unit. Positive and passionate. He is incredibly slow at running. Due to weak bronchi and constant coughing, his throat is shredded, causing him to frequently spit blood. His 'Bifurcated Bloom' summons two dolls that create hands; the dolls serve as sword and shield and can fight independently. Shion Kuchimori Captain of the Suginami Ward Combat Unit. One of Mudano's juniors. A decadent personality who hates children and has had relationships with 26 women. He uses money borrowed from his colleague Kaoru for horse racing and then tries to borrow more from women to cover it. However, he is more sensitive than anyone to the rescue of women and children or comrades in danger, being the first to rush to the scene. His 'Saint's Retirement' manifests a textbook from blood and reproduces parts of the stories within. Taiga Hyakki Vice-Captain of the Suginami Ward Combat Unit. One of Mudano's juniors. Despite his rough, yakuza-like appearance and speech, he is extremely caring and good with children, earning him the nickname 'The Holy Mother.' Young children are actually very fond of him. His 'Guardian's Age of Gods' generates a spherical barrier from blood. Its strength and duration are proportional to the amount of blood used.

Mikado Momotera Vice-Captain of the 6th Unit. A soft-spoken young man who is friends with Shiki. He believes that even an Oni shouldn't be eliminated if they have a righteous heart. He manifests firearms using bacteria. Tsukuyomi Momohana Captain of the 22nd Unit. Male. He has absolute faith in the divinations of 'Master Myorinpa.' He uses tarot cards to manipulate abilities corresponding to the cards drawn. Ousuke Momokado Vice-Captain of the 22nd Unit. Male. A battle maniac who finds pleasure in mutual slaughter. Tsukuyomi calls him a pervert. He can replicate techniques he has been hit by for 24 hours using bacteria. Senritsu Momoo A member of the 15th Unit. A man who fiercely protects his comrades and holds firm to his convictions. A contemporary of Ousuke and Tsukuyomi. He manipulates his voice to attack with shockwaves.
