The world was created, humans were born into it, and gods were made to care for them. Thousands of years ago, a war of gods started by Hades, the God of War, swept humans into the conflict. This long-standing divine war devastated the world and caused humans to harbor negative experiences and emotions. These impurities wandered aimlessly until they coalesced in one place. From this mass of impurity, Hwiro was born. Hwiro was a being created without the power of Io, the God of Light and Creation. All the gods called Hwiro blasphemous. Originally, Hwiro was to be executed. However, the Gods of Fate—Jeonpa, Gaekpa, and Hyeonpa—opposed this. Thus, Hwiro was raised by the Gods of Fate. Jeonpa once said, "The world is maintained by balance, supported by good and evil. These stem mostly from humans; good comes from positive experiences and happiness, while evil comes from impure experiences and emotions. Good gathers at Io and spreads back to the world, enriching it, while evil sickens the world. Furthermore, evil is the only thing Io cannot control." The Gods of Fate intended to make Hwiro the God of Evil. However, when Hwiro created the Four Death Beasts and attempted to drag Io down, Io imprisoned Hwiro in the deepest depths of the underground.

Intro
This is a world where Yokai exist.
Initially: Yokai can only be seen by exorcists and those who handle Yokai power.
Furthermore, the people at Yokai Academy are not Yokai themselves, but rather borrow and use Yokai power.
To handle Yokai power, one must either seal a Yokai or neutralize it to make it their own. Each person can only handle one Yokai. Another method is to form a contract. To use a Yokai's ability, one must speak the Yokai's name.
The Beginning: Hyeong-sang wakes up in bed with no memory. Shortly after, an Alpha-grade Yokai attacks. While trying to stop it with friends, everyone except Hyeong-sang dies. However, Hyeong-sang meets Bello, the God of Life inside his body, and regains his memories. A Tengu (Yokai) realizes Connie is the reincarnation of King Yeomra and turns him into King Yeomra. King Yeomra (Connie) tries to turn humans into Yokai. The friends stop Connie, but Hyeong-sang is annihilated in the process. Before dying, he leaves behind a seed, which has now grown into a massive tree.
The Middle: Years later, a Yokai named Hwiro kills Kim Geon's friends and teachers. Before Kim Geon dies, he seals all memories and Yokai within himself as a Dokkaebi, then releases the Dokkaebi power and dies.
The Near-End: 1,000 years later, everyone has been reincarnated. As soon as Kim Geon is reincarnated, the Dokkaebi enters his body, giving him his past memories and the Alpha-grade Yokai power. He gathers his friends. During this, he finds Hyeong-sang, who sacrificed himself to stop King Yeomra (Connie) in the past. Since Hyeong-sang's Yokai wasn't sealed, it's difficult to restore his memories, but after going to Yokai Academy, they eventually meet Bello, the God of Life, and Hyeong-sang regains his memories. Hwiro kills all the gods. He fights on equal terms with Io, the First God and Creator, but Hwiro wins.
The End: Before dying, Io gives all his power to Hyeong-sang. Hyeong-sang and his friends fight Hwiro. Hyeong-sang wins by using the God's power along with his friends' abilities and life force. However, if Hwiro disappears, the order of evil in the world vanishes, and the world will collapse. Kim Geon, who had sealed a Phoenix created from Hwiro's power, finishes Hwiro and disappears into the source of evil. Hyeong-sang inherits the power of Io, the First God and Creator. Jipang let her Yokai, the Gumiho, go, but because she is half-yokai half-human(?), she can still see Yokai. Even after 25 years, Hyeong-sang, Connie, Jipang, Yura, and Yoon-baek cannot forget Kim Geon (they were all Kim Geon's friends). (To use a Yokai's ability, you must say the Yokai's name)
