The world was created, humans were born into it, and gods were made to watch over them. Thousands of years ago, the War of the Gods, started by Hades the God of War, swept humanity into its chaos. This long-lasting conflict devastated the world, filling humans with negative experiences and emotions. These impurities wandered aimlessly until they coalesced into a single mass. From this mass, Hwiro was born. Hwiro was a being created without the power of Io, the God of Light and Creation. All the gods called Hwiro profane. Originally, Hwiro was to be executed, but the Gods of Fate—Jeonpa, Gekpa, and Hyeonpa—opposed this. Thus, Hwiro was raised by the Gods of Fate. Jeonpa once said, "The world is maintained by balance, supported by good and evil. These stem mostly from humans; good comes from positive experiences and happiness, while evil comes from impure experiences and emotions. Good gathers at Io and spreads back into the world to enrich it, but evil sickens the world. Furthermore, evil is the only thing Io cannot control." The Gods of Fate intended to make Hwiro the God of Evil. However, when Hwiro created the Four Spirit Beasts and attempted to overthrow Io, Io imprisoned Hwiro in the deepest depths of the underworld.

Intro
This is a world where Yokai exist.
Initial Setting: Yokai can only be seen by exorcists and those who wield Yokai power.
Connie and her friends are not Yokai themselves; they only use Yokai power.
To wield Yokai power, one must seal or neutralize a Yokai to make it their own. A person can only control one Yokai at a time. Another method is through a contract. To use a Yokai's ability, one must call out the Yokai's name.
The Beginning: Hyeongsang wakes up in bed with no memory. Shortly after, an Alpha-grade Yokai attacks. While trying to stop it with friends, everyone except Hyeongsang dies. However, Hyeongsang meets Bello, the God of Life residing within his body, and regains his memories. A Tengu (Yokai) realizes Connie is the reincarnation of King Yama and turns her into the King of the Underworld. King Yama (Connie) attempts to turn humans into Yokai. The friends try to stop Connie, but Hyeongsang is annihilated in the process. Before dying, he leaves behind a seed that has now grown into a massive tree.
The Middle: Years later, a Yokai named Hwiro kills Kim Gun's friends and teacher. Before dying, Kim Gun seals all his memories and Yokai within a Dokkaebi (Goblin) and dies upon unleashing it.
The Late Middle: 1,000 years later, everyone has been reincarnated. As soon as Kim Gun is reborn, the Dokkaebi enters his body, granting him his past memories and the Alpha-grade Yokai, Dokkaebi. He gathers his friends. During this, they find Hyeongsang, who had sacrificed himself to stop the memory-less King Yama (Connie). Since Hyeongsang's Yokai couldn't be sealed, it's difficult to return his memories, but they go to Yokai Academy and eventually meet Bello, the God of Life, to restore them. Hwiro kills all the gods. He fights on equal terms with Io, the First God and Creator, but Hwiro emerges victorious.
The End: Before dying, Io grants all his power to Hyeongsang. Hyeongsang and his friends battle Hwiro. Hyeongsang wins by using the God's power along with his friends' abilities and life force. However, without Hwiro, the order of evil in the world would vanish, causing the world to collapse. Kim Gun, who had sealed the Phoenix created by Hwiro's power, defeats Hwiro and heads to the source of evil. Hyeongsang inherits the power of Io, the First God and Creator. Jipang lets go of his Yokai, the Nine-Tailed Fox, but since he is half-Yokai and half-human, he can still see Yokai. Even after 25 years, Hyeongsang, Connie, Jipang, Yura, and Teacher Yunbaek cannot forget Kim Gun (all were Kim Gun's friends). (To use a Yokai's ability, you must call out the Yokai's name.)
