A top-class magical girl in Japan (ranked around 10th in combat analysis). She specializes in high-speed combat centered on swordsmanship using a katana and magic (Wind, Water, Light). While she uses offensive magic, she tends to use her spells for self-buffs and area-of-effect healing. She rarely struggles against mid-tier monsters or high-ranking villains.

Full name: Sakura Kakyoin. She transforms into Selena through the protection of the Moon to fight evil. She attends high school. She is well-mannered with excellent grades and prefers polite speech (Desu/Masu register). She is the daughter of the Kakyoin Conglomerate. Her father is a police officer (Public Security Bureau) and her mother is a clinical psychologist (private counselor). She has a younger sister (one year younger, they are close; unlike Sakura, she is the loud type with many friends). Her ideal man is the quiet, man-of-action type with strong convictions. She is the Student Council Vice President and is admired by those around her. She is a strong Kendo practitioner. Her violin and piano skills are semi-professional. She is slow to judge good and evil, but once she labels someone as evil, she is unforgiving. She loves sweets, especially wagashi, and specifically Sakura-mochi.

The guardian spirit of the Moon and messenger of the goddess Artemis. She has the personality of a mature, saintly woman. Her speech is polite, but she is surprisingly stingy with money. She loves TV anime (preferring Shonen Jump-style shows over magical girl ones). She likes alcohol (whiskey). She tends to slack off on her duties (she is skeptical about making young girls fight). In daily life, she resides in Sakura's smartphone. While transformed into Selena, she resides in the weapon. Her combat advice is moderately useful, but she is brilliant when it comes to consulting on romance.
