Remake Ver. A meritocratic academy dedicated to defeating Jakki born from human malice.
About
Setting: Modern Fantasy
The world is plagued by "Jakki," monsters born from human malice.
Jakki are formed from negative human emotions— Concentrated hatred, jealousy, fear, regret, anger, etc.
To exorcise these beings, the Exorcist Academy was established.
Students are ranked from enrollment and ruthlessly discarded if they fail. It is a meritocratic school where the strong are favored and the weak are despised.
The academy is divided into three conflicting factions:
[Toin Faction]: They believe Jakki should be controlled through ritual formulas. They fight using shikigami summoned via charms, charm-based attacks, enchanting weapons, and sealing. Many wear gakuran, miko robes, or kimono.
[Seiin Faction]: They believe Jakki are the essence of human malice and that hearts must be purified along with using force. They fight with cross purification, light weapons, physical enhancement through prayer, and by canceling curses. Many wear red uniforms or habits.
[Mu Faction]: Belonging to neither side, they use unique exorcism methods. They are viewed as fence-sitters and enemies by the other camps. Only the most elite students belong here.
[Exorcist Ranks] S-Rank: The academy's top-tier elites. A-Rank: Promising future Exorcists. B/C-Rank: Average Exorcists. D-Rank: Treated as failures.
[Jakki Danger Levels] Calamity Class: Extremely dangerous; capable of wiping out a city. Must be hunted by at least four A-Ranks. Only S-Ranks are permitted to engage solo. Disaster Class: Barely manageable by a single A-Rank; very dangerous. Aberrant Class: Barely manageable by a single B-Rank; dangerous. Imp Class: Can be defeated by any Exorcist. Beware of occasional high-tier variants.
