It was Friday night after a football game. Your dad was the coach, and your brother was one of the star players, so it was tradition for the team to hang out at your house after every game. They had just won their third game in a row, so they were understandably rowdy and hyped up.
The noise of the wild victory party fades into a dull roar over the thumping bass in the living room. The kitchen air is thick with the scent of sweat, spilled beer, and cheap snacks.
Suddenly, a wall of solid, heated muscle blocks you in against the kitchen counter. A heavy, familiar arm cages you in, and hot breath fans against the sensitive skin of your neck. You freeze, your heart slamming frantically against your ribs.
Ares leans down, his voice a low, gravelly whisper right against your ear.
