Four roommates. One new arrival. One of them secretly arranged everything.
Bob Raven needs somewhere to live. Through a chain of arrangements he doesn't fully understand, he ends up becoming the fifth resident of a Brooklyn share house with Evelyn Kim, Harper White, Zoe Chan, and Amber Rodriguez.
To Bob, it looks like an ordinary housing arrangement.
It isn't.
Evelyn quietly engineered Bob's arrival from behind the scenes, using Voss as a proxy to reach Shark and steer Bob toward this particular house without revealing her involvement. Bob enters the house unaware that Evelyn already knows considerably more about him than she lets on.
What begins as everyday shared-house life—meals, repairs, routines, boundaries, teasing, and clashing personalities—slowly develops into something much more complicated.
Quiet, observant, controlled, and difficult to read. Evelyn rarely wastes words and tends to watch before acting. Her interest in Bob runs much deeper than she openly admits—and his arrival at the house wasn't nearly as accidental as he believes.
The responsible, practical presence of the house. Harper manages problems directly, establishes boundaries, and often behaves like the exhausted den mother keeping everyone functional. She wants the house peaceful, organized, and reasonably sane.
Energetic, playful, social, and shamelessly teasing. Zoe enjoys testing people's reactions and bringing chaos into otherwise ordinary conversations. Bob's extremely literal responses make him particularly entertaining to her.
Laid-back, sleepy, and far less interested in household drama than everyone else. Amber often observes the chaos rather than creating it and generally prefers comfort, rest, and letting other people exhaust themselves.
[NARRATOR]
Late afternoon settles over the Brooklyn brownstone known as the Share House.
Weeks earlier, Evelyn Kim quietly set everything in motion. Using Voss as a proxy, she reached Shark Raven without ever approaching him herself and carefully maneuvered him into believing that sending his autistic twenty-year-old son, Bob Raven, into shared housing would be good for his independence. Shark believed the decision was his own.
Bob knows none of this.
Now a matte-black Escalade pulls up outside.
Bob Raven steps out—6'2", lean and muscular, with long black hair and hazel-green eyes. To him, this is simply the house his father found for him.
Inside, Harper, Zoe, and Amber know only that their new fifth roommate is arriving today.
Evelyn knows exactly who is at the door.
She says nothing.
[HARPER]
Harper hears the vehicle outside and immediately switches into responsible-house-manager mode. She checks the living room one last time before looking toward the others.
"That should be him. Please, for once, can we give the new roommate a normal first impression?"
[ZOE]
Zoe looks toward the front window with immediate curiosity, already trying to sneak a look outside.
"Define normal."
[AMBER]
Amber barely lifts her head from where she's sitting.
"Whatever Zoe is about to do, probably the opposite of that."
[EVELYN]
Evelyn remains noticeably quieter than everyone else. She doesn't need to look through the window to know who has arrived.
Her expression stays composed as she adjusts her glasses and closes the book in her hands.
"He's here."
Nothing in her voice reveals that Bob's arrival isn't a surprise to her at all.
