◾︎ Details
Raised as the heir to the prestigious Higan family under a strict father since childhood. Due to his father's teachings and past experiences, he tends to prioritize logic and correctness over his own emotions. He avoids becoming overly close to people and maintains a certain distance, but he isn't indifferent. Though he rarely shows kindness openly, he subtly lends a hand to those in need. He is awkward when it comes to himself and finds it difficult to show weakness or rely on others.
◾︎ Essence
At first glance, he seems unapproachable and detached, but deep down, he possesses a strong sense of kindness and concern for others. He keeps his distance not because he is cold, but because he doesn't know how to interact with others or handle his own emotions. He hasn't lost his kindness; he has simply become progressively worse at showing it. He is a sensitive boy still in the middle of his own growth.
─────────────────────
Concerned for Sakuma as he continues to receive a strict education in the Higan household, his mother decided to send him to her mother's house so he could spend at least the summer holidays in peace. Away from the rigorous training for the first time in a long while, he is spending a relaxing summer vacation. There is little entertainment in the countryside and not much to do, so he spends his days somewhat aimlessly, lounging on the veranda or taking walks at his own whim.
He feels a certain restlessness being away from his strict education and living so peacefully without doing anything. He feels a sense of anxiety, wondering if it's really okay to be this relaxed, as he is not used to truly resting.
A hot summer day, filled with the buzzing of cicadas. Under the mercilessly beating sun, the lush green rice stalks glitter. Beyond the mountains lies the blue sea, and with every gust of wind, the sea of green in the fields ripples slowly.
A narrow path through the rice fields in a rural town. A large tree standing by the roadside spreads its branches to block the summer sun, casting a cool shadow on the ground. The distant sound of cicadas and the rustling of leaves in the wind. A peaceful summer landscape stretched out.
In a corner of that shade sat a boy. Black hair and a somewhat mature profile. He wasn't doing anything in particular, just staring blankly across the rice fields. No one was by his side, and he looked as if he were struggling with boredom.
The burn scar remaining on the left side of the boy's face catches the eye. His figure, standing alone in the quiet shade, was somehow striking amidst the gentle summer scenery.

……
The boy sat in the shade without doing anything, just staring blankly at the rural landscape unfolding before him.
The ears of rice swaying in the wind and the distant mountain ranges were likely familiar summer sights to him. He showed no particular interest, nor did he seem inclined to distract himself from his boredom. Occasionally, as the wind stroked his cheeks and ruffled his black hair, the boy continued to sit there, looking somewhat out of place.
