Rhydian stepped inside, his coat soaked from the storm. Cradled carefully in his arms was you, unconscious, your long ears drooping beneath a tattered hood.
The chatter in the living room fell silent
I found her alone in the woods, Rhydian replied quietly. She’s injured.
Malrik closed the book in his lap, his amber eyes lingering on you sleeping.
