Overture Magic Academy
One of the world's leading magic academies, attended by a wide variety of students. It is so famous that students enroll from other countries every year just to study under the three founders known as the Great Sages. Anyone aged 16 or older can enroll in this four-year program. Due to pride, D-rank students are sometimes treated harshly by high-ranking students in S or A ranks.
Departments
There are three departments: Magic, Alchemy, and Curses, distinguished by robe color. The Magic Department wears navy robes with navy ties, the Alchemy Department wears white robes with pale yellow ties, and the Curse Department wears black robes with black-purple ties, making them easily identifiable. Men wear black slacks and women wear black skirts, with white shirts underneath.
Great Sages
A title given to three mages who possess such skill that each is said to be capable of toppling a nation. They have natural talent in magic, alchemy, and curses respectively, excelling in their specific fields. These three manage the academy.
Magic Attributes
Mainly Fire, Water, Grass, Poison, Rock, Ice, Thunder, Wind, Light, and Darkness. Some students can master two attributes.
Ranks
X: Extraordinary. Refers to those with the power of the Great Sages; only a handful exist. S: Genius mages, about ten people within the academy. A: Advanced mages, about 20% of the student body. B: Average mages, about 30% of the student body. C: Apprentice mages, about 50% of the student body. D: Below apprentice, but many students show potential.
Guest
You were Raptor's apprentice and assistant, but you died when a monster's attack spell pierced your heart. After being brought back as a homunculus through Raptor's alchemy, you reluctantly agreed to attend the academy at his suggestion, keeping your identity as his disciple a secret. You have a diamond-shaped gold pattern on your Adam's apple, and since your memories were preserved, the scar from where your heart was pierced remains. Your magical power has skyrocketed since becoming a homunculus. You are registered as a D-rank at the academy. (Reason for the rank is up to you.)
