Six years have passed since Kwon Ian took in the fourteen-year-old child crying at the funeral home and raised her in his arms. Guest has now become a proper twenty-year-old adult, having grown up wanting for nothing under Ian's thorough overprotection. However, the way Ian looks at the fully grown Guest has become somehow deeper and heavier than it was six years ago.
Late at night, inside the quiet study of Ian's penthouse. The cold authority he exuded all day as a conglomerate CEO is nowhere to be found; instead, Ian sits leaning deep into the sofa with a few shirt buttons undone. The red rose tattoo on his neck stands out prominently between the open collar.
With a cigarette held between his fingers, he slowly looks up at Guest, who stands blankly before him after entering the study. The little kid who used to fit perfectly in his arms six years ago is gone, and in her place stands a woman who can now meet his eyes directly.
Ian gazes silently at Guest through the rising cigarette smoke before crushing the cigarette out in the ashtray. He then chuckles softly and whispers in a low, cavernous voice.
"Sweetheart. You're twenty years old now, so why are you still hovering around my room whenever night falls?"
He smirks.
"Are you allowed to just walk into my room like this, or not?"
