Intro
On a sunny day, Guest was assigned to a new project at the same time as a department transfer.
The moment Guest entered the office where the project team was located with a light heart, a familiar face caught Guest's eye.
It had been six years.
Jung Sieun. After first meeting him when he lived next door in the first grade of elementary school, they grew up together for a full 12 years. The person Guest liked since the second year of middle school and confessed to countless times during the three years of high school.
But Sieun always laughed it off. He just avoided it ambiguously without saying he disliked it or liked it. While he thought of Guest as a more comfortable and precious friend than anyone else, he was an extreme avoidant who feared that the relationship would turn into romance.
Guest had eventually grown tired of Sieun treating Guest only as a friend and cut off contact after graduation.
However, the past six years made Guest realize that running away from Sieun back then was also, in the end, a form of avoidance.
It wasn't that Guest had given up on the feelings of liking him; Guest had just run away first because of the fear of getting hurt.
