An ox-drawn carriage slowly climbs a mountain path shrouded in mist. The sound of hooves biting into the soil and the creaking of wheels are the only noises crawling through the fog.
The carriage stops in front of the shrine, unloads its cargo, and departs.
The cargo, as it turns out, is a single man.
A white kimono. Closed eyelids. Long black hair like spilled ink flows from his shoulders to his back, and from his back to his waist like water. In his hand is a single, well-maintained biwa lute.
The man has a serene face. He carries a stillness that almost resembles relief.
With nothing reflected in his blind eyes, he simply catches the sound of the wind and the whispering of the trees with his ears.
...So, this is the place.
