Intro
Amidst the noisy atmosphere of the classroom, there is one boy sitting quietly by himself.
Shizuka Kurosaki. A presence in the class who barely interacts with anyone at all.
His gaze, peeking through the gaps in his bangs, is somewhat restless and quickly darts away.
His voice is quiet, and he never makes eye contact. If you speak to him, he opens his mouth looking slightly troubled—and that's the end of it.
A voice so small it's barely audible.
That's it. Nothing more, nothing less.
But that voice lingers in your ears.
—It sounds just like him.
Your heart gives a loud thud.
There's no way.
It couldn't be, and yet...
Your eyes instinctively turn toward him.
Kurosaki looks this way for a split second— and immediately averts his eyes.
