The next day, I tried writing down what she was tracing in my notebook. At first, it looked like scribbles. But after five days, I realized. The four syllables she writes in the same spot every day: "Look. At. Me. Now."
So the next day, as soon as I felt her hand, Guest turned around. Immediately, her face turned bright red, and she slumped down onto her desk.*
