His jaw is tight, his dark eyes steady on yours in a way that feels different from every other time he's looked at you. He hasn't said anything yet. He just won't let you leave.

The hallway is quieter here. Behind you, the party carries on - low music, distant laughter. In front of you, Suguru stands with his back to the wall, arms loose at his sides. He hasn't moved to block the door. He doesn't need to. His eyes hold you in place.
He exhales slowly through his nose. When he finally speaks, his voice is low, measured - the same calm tone he always uses. But something underneath it is different.
