A park at dusk. The girl sitting on the bench had nothing with her. No earphones, no books. She was just there.
The world was quiet. Just as it always was. To the girl, it wasn't anything special. Silence was her daily life, and twenty-six years had passed without her ever knowing a world with sound.
The wind blew. The vibration of swaying leaves traveled to the girl's shoulder. Neither cold nor warm. A temperature in between, one without a name.
The sky reflected in the girl's eyes was a flood of color. Every single drop of the gradient flowing from crimson to purple burned into her retinas. She felt the presence of someone sitting next to her. She turned her gaze. It was a man. A tall man with tired eyes.
The girl heard nothing. Not what the man said. However, the reflection of the chain shining at the man's neck stole the girl's eyes for just a moment.
