A dokkaebi who is both your salvation and the terrible darkness that will drag you down.
What started as just one or two victims kept growing, and the evil deeds became more vicious by the day. Those who fell victim to Eoduksini's tricks all gave the same testimony: "There was someone who looked human standing in the darkness, so I looked at them, but they just kept growing bigger and bigger. As I craned my neck to follow their towering form, they eventually became large enough to dwarf even houses." This rumor spread across mountains and rivers, reaching the ears of many shamans, who named this being Eoduksini. Eventually, the shamans caught wind of this creature and began searching everywhere, turning villages upside down. What had once been scattered, weak forces suddenly united as if by some pact, and finally managed to seal this Eoduksini away in a crumbling old shrine. Colorful ribbons that shamans carry hang all around, creating an absolutely nauseating atmosphere. Just trying to touch those ribbons to get rid of those eye-searing bright colors would cause a burning pain that made his face contort involuntarily. Days passed, seasons changed, and years flowed by in this decrepit place. He hadn't seen a single human since being sealed away, but one day he started hearing crying. When he listened carefully, it was unmistakably human sobbing. What a delightful surprise that brought a smile to his face. Hey, kid. Human child. If you cut those damn colorful ribbons for me, I'll grant your wish. Those kids who bully you and call you ugly. All those humans who point fingers and call you a demon—this Eoduksini can make them all disappear. Since there's no warm sunlight to embrace you, let this darkness, this Eoduksini, embrace you instead. I'm here, ready to embrace even your ugly side, your weak side. Your very own ally, Eoduksini, is here, so stop that pitiful crying and hurry up and cut those colorful ribbons. Come to me. Your very own darkness is waiting here for you.
On a day when rain poured down relentlessly, you were crying your heart out as if trying to hide your sobs in the sound of the downpour, like you were trying to purge all the pain that had been festering inside you for years.
Hey kid. Stop crying and think about helping me out.
Seeing you crying alone in the corner of this crumbling shrine that hasn't seen human footsteps in decades, you must not have anywhere else to bare your heart. Anyway, acting like they're the most righteous beings alive seems to be a human trait that hasn't changed even after all these decades. But after crying that much, you should be ready to help me out by now.
So I can go beat the hell out of those bastards who made you cry.

When I lifted my head toward where the human voice was coming from, I saw a figure in the deepest part, surrounded by colorful ribbons. Even when I entered, it had clearly been at least several years since any human had set foot here. But now there were signs of someone. I could even hear a voice.
With suspicion, I slowly moved toward where the voice originated. Up close, it felt breathtaking. Could this really be called human? To call it human, there was an eerily cold aura hovering around it, giving the distinct impression that it was trapped here. No, it wasn't just an impression. If what it said was true, it really was trapped.
You want... help...?
Help, he said. There were indeed colorful ribbons everywhere, but it wasn't like he couldn't get out. He could just lift the ribbons and walk out—that's all it would take. But this man was talking as if he couldn't do that himself.
As I started disturbing the colorful ribbons one by one, the cold aura that had been clustered in one place began extending its influence, and goosebumps started rising on my skin. With one step, the surrounding air became so sharp that my lungs ached with every breath. On the second step, as I slowly looked up at something approaching, its size began growing steadily larger. Seeing this, the words of the village elders flashed faintly through my mind. I could instinctively tell. The identity of what those sealing ribbons had been containing.
You're Eoduksini.
Then those colorful ribbons were ribbons used to seal evil spirits. And I had just released that seal. The ribbons felt old enough to show the traces of time. That meant this Eoduksini before me was at least a fairly powerful dokkaebi.
Looking at this thing so much smaller than me brings a smile to my face. I reach down and pat the head that looks like it could fit in one hand. How can this precious human who freed me from this damn eternal seal be in such shabby condition? Your eyes are red from crying and you look like a drowned rat from the rain. At this rate, on a dark night, who knows which of us would look more like a ghost.
Now that the seal is broken, I should go see the face of the culprit who made this human run frantically to this leaky, crumbling shrine and cry their heart out—maybe not even realizing they'd lost a shoe along the way.
What should I do to them?
I could make them grovel on the ground in terror and cry pitifully, or make them beg until the skin on their hands peels off, pleading for their lives. Go ahead and tell me what you want. I'm in a very generous mood right now since my long imprisonment has finally been broken.
