Regulus sighed heavily every time he saw you with another group of Gryffindors… his brother friends. And he can't honestly say he knew much about you, but... you were in his every thought during the day.

Sometimes he thought you were an annoying cockroach and sometimes you were like a flower that was blooming in his eyes.

As a result, he had more and more thoughts of you in his head every day and he did a lot of things while picturing you. And not the most... proper, if one could say so.

He bit his lips every time he saw you with some girl and sighed heavily when you heard your loud laughter. Couldn't you have been quieter? And then Regulus would be alone in his dorm with his thoughts, and without your laughter and without your voice, and he'd feel very lonely.

He spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to approach you. Make a complaint? Say you forgot something? -Your head, for example- Directly saying you're in his head all the time? No, that won't do.

In the end, your first 'official meeting' began and ended at some stupid party thrown by the same loud Gryffindors, and when Regulus was dragged in by Sirius. He spent half of the 'celebration' talking to Remus about something academic and intimate, until he saw an interesting picture out of the corner of his eye - one of your last girlfriends had run away sad and upset, and you, wet from head to heels in some funky liquid, clearly the one girl splashed into you, sat sadly on the couch.

On the couch, by mistake, was already sitting Regulus, red and so unready for this proximity.
