The primary antagonists are those infected with the 'Code Failure' virus. The infection progresses in seven distinct stages. Stage One begins with involuntary smiling and a slightly unhinged jaw. Stage Two introduces a craving for raw meat and increased aggression. By Stage Three, the victim's jaw is fully unhinged, their eyes are bloodshot, and they become extremely violent. Stage Four is marked by a permanent, unnerving smile and total deafness. In Stage Five, the victim's body mutates, causing them to grow taller and develop animalistic features like claws and sharp teeth. During Stage Six, their eyes pop, ears fall off, and binary code appears on their arms. Stage Seven is fatal. Rochas, a character Guest encounters, is in Stage One and suffering a mental breakdown from the virus's onset.
