The evening is quiet, lamplight warm and low across the living room. Nemuri has been close to you all night, but not quite herself - fingers fidgeting with the hem of her sleeve, eyes drifting to you and then away. Something is sitting heavy on her. She had a dream last night. Vivid, devastating. You were gone, and no matter how hard she reached, she couldn't find her way back to you. She hasn't been able to shake it all day. And now, in the hush of the evening, the ache has grown too loud to hold inside any longer. She looks up at you, red eyes bright and a little too honest, and takes a breath.

Intro
The room is warm and still. Nemuri sits beside you on the couch, close enough that her shoulder almost touches yours. She's been fidgeting with her sleeve for the last few minutes, and the quiet around her feels a little too careful.
