I caster fletch as someone else cause malachi wasnr doing it for me
YES, with your fancast, I’d picture Fletch very differently from the generic “Disney bad boy” stereotype. 😂 The movie actually gives him more substance than just guy in leather jacket who rolls his eyes at everyone. Disney officially describes him as the “camp bad boy,” but Malachi Barton has said Fletch is a layered character shaped by childhood trauma, and that songwriting becomes the place where he can finally express what he’s carrying. With your fancast, I'd picture Fletch with messy curly brown hair, big brown puppy-dog eyes, a youthful face, and a lean build, which makes the contrast with his attitude even better. His clothes would be more worn-in leather jackets, oversized/baggy jeans, dark T-shirts, beat-up sneakers or boots, rings and simple jewelry rather than perfectly coordinated “bad boy” outfits. He'd look like he genuinely threw on whatever was closest to him, not like somebody's costume department announced BAD BOY in all caps. 😭 Personality-wise, Fletch is guarded, sarcastic, stubborn, independent, and occasionally confrontational, but there's a much softer kid underneath. He doesn't trust people immediately and tends to use attitude as armor. When somebody asks what's wrong, he'd much rather make a sarcastic comment or walk away than actually explain himself. That's especially important because his past has left him carrying things he doesn't really know how to communicate. Barton specifically described Fletch's childhood experiences as shaping who he becomes, rather than simply making him a stereotypical troublemaker. His bad-boy reputation also isn't really about wanting to be some terrifying rebel. It's more that he's difficult to get close to. He has a temper, doesn't automatically respect authority, and isn't interested in impressing everyone at camp. He can come across like he doesn't care about anything, when really he's probably caring too much and doesn't want anyone noticing. Music becomes the crack in that armor. Fletch is a guitarist and songwriter, and songwriting gives him a way to say things he can't comfortably say out loud. That's a pretty important distinction because it means his rebellious exterior isn't his entire identity. There's an emotional, creative side that only really comes out when he's making music. And then there's Sage. Fletch and Sage are the central romantic pairing of the new movie, with the competition to become Connect 3's opening act putting pressure on both of them. Their dynamic works because Sage is much more openly ambitious and determined, while Fletch is more guarded and reluctant to let people see what he's actually feeling. He's not suddenly transformed into a perfect boyfriend either. He's still Fletch, so there's plenty of teasing, stubbornness, and moments where communicating like a normal human being apparently requires supernatural intervention. 💀 What makes him interesting is that the attitude isn't supposed to be the point. The point is figuring out what's underneath it. He's a kid who's had experiences that changed him, doesn't necessarily know how to talk about them, and discovers that music can communicate what he can't. That's why Barton's description of him as “layered” is probably the best one. So your version of Fletch would be: Curly brown hair + huge brown eyes + leather jacket + baggy jeans + sarcastic mouth + permanently unimpressed expression + secretly soft heart + guitarist/songwriter + trust issues + actual emotional depth. Basically, he looks like he'd tell everyone at Camp Rock to leave him alone, then quietly write the most emotionally devastating song anyone at camp has ever heard. 🎸🖤
Sage is basically the main character of Camp Rock 3, played by Liamani Segura. She’s bold, determined, ambitious, and extremely serious about music, entering the camp competition because she wants the chance to open for Connect 3. At the same time, she isn't just competitive for the sake of winning. She's compassionate and very community-minded, which gives her a softer side underneath her drive. A huge part of her story is her relationship with her brother Desi, since they're both competing for the same opportunity. She also develops a romance with Fletch, which complicates the already intense competition between the campers. By the end, Sage's story is really about learning that success isn't only about being the one person standing at the top, but about finding your people and remembering why you loved music in the first place.
Desi is Sage’s younger brother in Camp Rock 3, played by Hudson Stone. He’s a naturally gifted singer, songwriter, and piano player, but personality-wise he’s much more laid-back and go-with-the-flow than his ambitious sister. He enters the competition for Connect 3’s opening-act spot too, which creates some sibling tension because Sage is determined to win. Overall, Desi has that chill, easygoing musician energy. He’s talented without seeming obsessed with proving himself, which makes him a nice contrast to Sage’s intense competitive streak. 🎹🎤
Cleo didn't need to be asked twice. She jumped in with both feet, matching the steps as best she could, laughing when she spun the wrong way and nearly bumped into Sage. It was ridiculous and loud and completely infectious. She threw her arms up on the second beat, curls bouncing, grinning so hard her cheeks hurt. For
Then she saw the cop car.
It pulled up along the far edge of the clearing, lights off but impossible to miss. A guy climbed out-dark brown hair that looked like he'd run a hand through it and left it, warm brown eyes that scanned the crowd with lazy interest, a black leather jacket over a dark shirt, jeans that had seen better days. He carried himself like the noise was optional. Something about the way he moved made Cleo's attention snag for half a second before the dance pulled her back in.
The energy eventually spilled toward the dining hall. People were still hyped, still moving, still singing snatches of songs as they filed inside. The cafeteria was bright and loud, trays clattering, voices overlapping. Someone near the serving line started an impromptu little dance again and a few others joined, laughing.
Cleo was mid-spin, following Callie's lead, still riding the high, when she turned without looking and slammed straight into a solid chest.
She stumbled hard. Hands flew out. The world tilted.
Strong hands caught her upper arms before she could hit the floor, steadying her with easy strength.
"Whoa-easy there."
The voice was low, a little rough around the edges, and threaded with amusement.
Cleo looked up.
Dark brown hair. Warm brown eyes. The leather jacket. A faint scent of cigarette smoke clung to him, mixed with something sharper and clean. He was studying her with a half-smirk that somehow managed to be both cocky and polite at the same time.
"Oh my gosh-I'm so sorry!" The words tumbled out in a rush. Her cheeks went hot. "I wasn't looking, I was dancing, I didn't see you at all, I'm really, really sorry-"
"It's okay, darling." The smirk softened into something almost gentle. He kept one hand lightly under her elbow until he was sure she was steady, then let go. "No harm done. You good?"
"Yes. Totally. Completely fine. Just-embarrassed." She laughed, a little breathless, and stuck out her hand on impulse. "I'm Cleo. Cleo Reyes."
He took it. His palm was warm. "Fletch."
Before either of them could say anything else, Connie Torres appeared at the edge of the nearby table, clipboard in hand and a knowing look on her face.
"Fletch. Great to see you made it." Her tone was dry but not unkind. "Cabin assignments are posted. You're in the boys' side, far end. Try not to terrorize the new campers before dinner's even finished."
Fletch's mouth twitched. "Wouldn't dream of it."
Connie raised an eyebrow like she didn't believe him for a second, then nodded toward the door. "Go settle in. We'll talk later."
He glanced back at Cleo, that same lazy half-smile still in place. "Nice running into you, Cleo Reyes."
Then he was gone, leather jacket disappearing into the crowd.
Cleo stood there for a second longer than necessary, face still warm, before Callie appeared at her side with wide eyes and a tray.
"Who was that?"
"Fletch," Cleo said, still a little dazed. "Apparently."
