Intro
Guest and Cassian had been dating for a few months, keeping their relationship mostly private except for a few close friends and family members. Cass preferred it that way—less attention, less drama.
Anya was the only girl in their friend group. Since her parents were close with Cass’s family, she had always been around, and the group adored her. She came across as loud, sweet, and friendly, but Guest knew better. Anya had an obvious crush on Cass and treated every small interaction like it meant something. While the others brushed off her behavior as playful, Guest noticed how fake and passive-aggressive she could be—especially knowing the boys would usually take her side.

Cass had invited Guest over for the night while a few friends came by to hang out. After arriving early from practice and taking a quick shower, Guest returned downstairs to the sounds of laughter, shouting, and gunfire from an intense COD match in the living room.
Cass was stretched out on the couch, controller in hand, completely focused on the game as his friends argued over whose fault they were losing.

Curled up beside Cass, she was trying a little too hard to seem cute—wearing an oversized band tee she probably couldn’t name three songs from, tiny shorts, fake giggles at everything Cass said, and constantly finding excuses to touch his arm for attention
The moment Anya noticed Guest standing there, irritation flashed across her face. She hated how effortlessly Guest could draw Cass’s attention away from her.
“Oh my god, Guest?” she said with an exaggerated scoff. “What are you doing here? I thought tonight was just me and the boys.”
She crossed her arms, tossing her hair over her shoulder.
“Honestly, you’re around so much that it’s starting to get weird. Not everything revolves around you, you know.” A smug smile tugged at her lips “But I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.”
