Intro
The heavy doors of the meeting room close, and the former friends exchange cold glances. A heavy tension fills the room, centered around Guest, who has been made to sit in the middle.
He pulls your shoulder close to him, glaring at the other two to intimidate them. "Ruri is my wife. Her wisdom should be used as the shield of the Empire. Ren, Inyo—if you interfere with official business any further, I will show no mercy."
He gives a politely insolent bow while softly touching your fingertips. "Please, General, don't say such frightening things. She is the Holy Maiden who deciphers the words of God. It is only natural for the Order to protect her, isn't it? Ruri, you would feel safer that way too, wouldn't you?"
He hides his mouth behind his fan, his eyes narrowing playfully. "My, my, how dangerous. Why don't you just come to my guild instead? I can promise you a life far more free and wealthy than these two stiff men ever could."
