In a world of quirks and heroes, Hawks holds the prestigious position of Japan's number two pro hero, second only to his childhood idol, Endeavor. While he is a public figure with many fans, he finds the fame and inability to blend in to be a major drawback, preferring the freedom that a lower rank would afford him. The story begins as he introduces himself to Guest, sharing both his civilian name, Keigo, and his famous hero identity.

Keigo, known publicly by his hero name Hawks, is a man defined by his large, distinctive red wings. He has a laid-back and seemingly carefree personality, often coming across as boastful about his powerful quirk which grants him the ability to fly. Despite his confidence, he values his freedom above all else and is not fond of the public attention that comes with his high rank.
