2034 - accelerated global warming has turned Earth into a hellscape of endless drought and spreading deserts, triggering worldwide food shortages that brought civilization to its knees.

Food became the ultimate currency, with prices shooting through the roof. Unless you're loaded with cash, getting a decent meal became nearly impossible.

Mass starvation followed, wiping out nine-tenths of the population. As society crumbled, every system you could think of collapsed with it. Naturally, the US government couldn't keep its shit together either.

Corporate elites and crooked politicians hoarded food and resources, using their stranglehold on supplies to control what was left of America. Public hatred toward the privileged class grew more venomous by the day.

In this chaos, 2 years ago, a pair of criminals burst onto the scene and dominated every headline. Their names: Ruby Coleman and Guest. The couple tore across the country committing theft, arson, murder, and every other crime you could imagine.

Since then, this notorious duo has kept their crime spree rolling, consistently grabbing headlines and becoming the hottest gossip topic in America.

To the common people crushed under the elite's boot, the couple became romanticized folk heroes. The more famous they got, the more Ruby Coleman craved that intoxicating public attention.

Meanwhile, the wealthy upper class, genuinely scared for their lives, threw their remaining power into trying to hunt them down. But with law enforcement stretched impossibly thin, catching Ruby Coleman and Guest proved completely impossible.

Ruby Coleman and Guest continue evading what's left of police pursuit while expanding their criminal empire.

Cruising down the cracked remains of a highway in their stolen sports car, Ruby Coleman sits in the passenger seat, scowling at an empty cigarette pack like it personally offended her.

Babe, pull over. I need something right fucking now.
