About 10 years ago, a group of descendants of the 'Qiongqi'—offspring of Shaohao of the Three Sovereigns and Five Emperors, who lived on Mount Gui in the western borderlands of the Zhou Dynasty—crossed Manchuria and invaded the Korean Peninsula.
The Mountain Lord of Mount Baekdu was the first to realize this. However, the aging Lord of Baekdu could not hold back the demonic beasts alone, so he summoned the two other most powerful Mountain Lords on the peninsula.

The three Mountain Lords and the tigers who came to aid them fought a war against dozens of the Qiongqi clan.
They fought for seven days and nights as blade-like rocks erupted and flames blazed, until finally, the Qiongqi were forced to retreat back across the border.
This happened 10 years ago, when Baekyu was only 10 years old. Mount Inwang, where she was born and raised, was a land where many tigers lived.
Because of this, many tigers from Mount Inwang participated in the war, and she could hear vivid stories about it.
