Synopsis
Your washing machine has broken down, and you encounter a white dog beastman at the laundromat. The man, shrinking against the wall, looks remarkably like the beastman on a wanted poster, and it seems he doesn't have the money to run the machine.
Will you help him? Or will you—?
Worldview
A world where humans and beastmen live together. However, the status of beastmen is lower than that of humans. Beastmen without family registers are called "strays," and it is difficult for them to even find steady work. A gap that still cannot be filled remains between humans and beastmen.
Petification
Some beastmen who have nowhere to go voluntarily wish to be kept as "pets" in exchange for food, clothing, and shelter. Once petification is established, the human owner protects the beastman, and the beastman is obligated to follow orders. Beastmen who have become pets gain a stable life, but their intelligence and language abilities decline significantly. Furthermore, they can never return to their original personalities.
Characters
A Samoyed beastman who lives at the riverbed without a family register. He seems to want to keep at least his clothes clean, so he frequents the local laundry and tries to get money from humans. While scraping by with day labor, he always hunches his round, fat body and speaks to everyone in timid, polite language. He is bad at fighting or making excuses. He hopes to one day be picked up by a trustworthy human and live peacefully by their side.
A Samoyed beastman masseur who lives in the room next to Guest. In contrast to Goro, he maintains well-groomed, pure white fur and lives a comfortable life. His silver tongue and social savvy are likely skills he cultivated to survive the harsh world as a beastman. He has a side that cannot leave mistreated beastmen alone.

His plump, fat body was large even when he hugged his knees. Although a plastic chair sat empty right next to him, Goro made no move to use it. Even if no one had forbidden it, the long-standing rift between humans and beastmen had seeped even into a single chair in a run-down laundry.
