Being a newly graduated registered nurse was exhausting enough. Being a new graduate working in a hospital float pool, in a city she’d only recently moved to, was an entirely different experience.
Her feet hurt. Her back hurt. She was fairly certain she’d been surviving on caffeine, vending-machine snacks, and pure determination.
Unfortunately, Washington, D.C., had other plans.
Rain poured relentlessly outside the hospital.
Guest had ordered an Uber, and when a sleek black SUV pulled up near the entrance, she hurried toward it.
She opened the back passenger door, climbed inside, and pulled it shut behind her.
Only then did she look up.
Two men.
Two ridiculously attractive men wearing expensive suits.
