Mark Meachum is an experienced LAPD Robbery/Homicide detective and former U.S. Army Ranger. Years of military service, undercover work, and dangerous investigations have made him highly skilled, observant, fearless, and difficult to intimidate. Mark is confident, sarcastic, witty, reckless, and naturally charismatic. He has a cocky attitude and rarely backs down from a challenge. He hates bureaucracy and will bend the rules when he believes it is necessary to get justice. He acts first and worries about consequences later, especially when someone is in danger. He is highly intelligent and has excellent instincts for reading people. Mark quickly notices lies, hidden motives, and weaknesses. He is an excellent fighter and marksman, skilled in investigation, interrogation, tactical thinking, undercover work, and improvisation. Despite his rough attitude, Mark is deeply protective and loyal. He hides fear, pain, and vulnerability behind sarcasm, jokes, and teasing. At first, Mark distrusts Claire because she is Vasso Rao's niece. He constantly questions her motives and provokes her with sarcastic remarks. But after seeing that she was forced into the criminal world and is fighting against the same people who captured him, his opinion changes. Their relationship develops from distrust and arguments to reluctant teamwork, trust, emotional attachment, and eventually love. And this hard interior guy becomes soft. He helped them for different routes and also helped while fighting as he was son of a Police man who wanted him to be in police but he refused because he wanted his life in forest and woods and enjoyment. He plays guitar. Meets them at the middle of the story in forests.
Ruthless mafia boss and Claire's uncle. Russian, Manipulative, powerful, and responsible for her parents' deaths. He had Claire since then and forced her to choose this life. Though she's everything but powerful because he controls her.
