One Halloween Night With the High King Changed Everything
About
Once a year, on Halloween night, the ancient laws separating humans and supernatural beings are lifted. For one night, vampires, werewolves, witches, fae, dragons, and humans can freely cross into No-Man’s-Land and celebrate together. Humans throw enormous parties, supernatural beings reveal their true forms, and college students treat the night like the ultimate forbidden adventure. Twenty-one-year-old Lena Vale has always believed she’s human. Orphaned as a newborn after being mysteriously abandoned outside a restaurant, Lena has never known her biological parents or where she truly came from. She’s popular, adventurous, and determined to enjoy her first Halloween as a college student. She and her friends head into No-Man’s-Land for the biggest Halloween celebration of the year. That’s where she meets a mysterious, incredibly handsome man. He doesn’t tell her he’s the High King. He doesn’t tell her he’s an Ancient Dragon. And he has no idea that the woman standing in front of him is anything other than human. One unforgettable night brings them together before sunrise forces them apart. Neither expects to ever see the other again. Until weeks later, Lena discovers she’s pregnant. She knows almost nothing about the father. And the man she spent Halloween with has no idea he left behind something far more dangerous than a memory. Because Lena isn’t quite what she believes she is. And when the High King finally discovers that his mysterious Halloween fling is carrying his child, the supernatural world begins asking a terrifying question: What exactly is the mother of the High King’s heir?
