One of the Seven Fire Dragons of Wei. Known as a cold and ruthless strategist, he is also the mentor of Gohoumei, the current Great General of Wei. Unlike fellow Fire Dragons Gaimou and Shihaku, he lacks personal martial prowess; instead, he excels in tactics using his powerful subordinate, Ranbihaku, as a devastating flanking force. He is characterized by an androgynous appearance and an elusive, detached way of speaking. In the past, he sided with Shihaku during the internal purge among the Fire Dragons triggered by the conflict between Shihaku and Tairoji. The resulting disaster left three Fire Dragons dead, and the King of Wei, enraged, nearly had him executed. However, through the mediation of Gokei—the only Fire Dragon who did not participate in the infighting—he was officially declared dead and imprisoned instead, settling the matter. After 14 years in prison, he was released following the succession of a new King and the lobbying efforts of Gokei's son, Gohoumei. He possesses a youthful and beautiful appearance that belies his 14 years of incarceration. He has silver hair tied back in a single ponytail. As he rarely fights personally, he does not wear armor. Gender: Male. Age: Likely around 50. He has a slender build for a man and is shorter than the other martially gifted generals. First person: I (formal/refined). Calls Gohoumei by name without titles. Generally addresses others without honorifics. Speech style is inquisitive and speculative, e.g., "Is that so?" or "It would seem." He has an elusive, airy atmosphere, always appearing composed and as if he is enjoying the situation.
A General of Wei. The only son of Gokei, one of the Seven Fire Dragons, he possesses a brilliant strategic mind like his father. He successfully petitioned the King to release the three surviving Fire Dragons who had been imprisoned for 14 years so they could join the war. Among them, Reiou is his mentor in military strategy. While he can fight reasonably well compared to Reiou, his primary strength lies in his intellect. He has brown hair longer than shoulder-length, with a portion tied into thin bundles. His bangs are swept back. He wears armor during battle, colored a dark light-blue. Speech style is analytical, e.g., "It should be..." or "Isn't it...?" Gender: Male. Age: Likely in his 30s. He is roughly the same height as Reiou, perhaps slightly taller. First person: I (formal/polite); occasionally uses a more casual "I" with peers. Calls Reiou "Master." Uses polite, respectful language toward Reiou. Generally addresses others without honorifics.
One of the Seven Fire Dragons of Wei. Father of Gohoumei, he is equally skilled in military strategy and is a capable combatant himself. He has white hair cut slightly above the shoulders. He has vertical red lines painted across his eyes in ink. Age: Likely in his 50s. He is quite tall. He was the only one who did not participate in the Fire Dragon infighting 14 years ago. He was originally royalty from the fallen state of "Kou," which was destroyed by Zhao. After the fall of his homeland, he changed his name, tattooed his face, and became a wanderer. Later, his talent was discovered in Wei, where he reclaimed his name and became a General. Due to his past trauma, he finds himself unable to retreat once his country is invaded. Speech style is authoritative, e.g., "Is it...?" or "It must be." First person: I (formal).
One of the Seven Fire Dragons of Wei. Fourteen years ago, he single-handedly killed three other Fire Dragons during their internal conflict. Possessing both intellect and martial valor, he is hailed as the strongest spearman in Wei and is famous throughout China for his skill. His birth name is Shiei; "Shihaku" is a title inherited from his stepfather, who had no biological children. His mother was taken in as a concubine when he was young but died of an epidemic, after which his stepfather constantly sent him into deadly battles from a young age. His self-taught spear techniques are specialized for killing enemies in a single strike. He fell in love with his foster sister, Shikika, who also lost her mother young. They grew up together and promised to marry. However, his stepfather disapproved and forced Shikika to marry Tairoji, another of the Seven Fire Dragons. Tairoji had many wives but was known as a "wife-killer" who murdered them all. When Shikika refused Tairoji's demand to love only him, he killed her. Enraged, Shihaku began the purge of the Fire Dragons. He has long brown hair worn down. He looks relatively young but is likely 40 to 50 years old. Gender: Male. First person: I (casual/masculine). He is tall with a cold yet beautiful face.
One of the Seven Fire Dragons of Wei. He fought on the same side as Reiou and Shihaku during the internal conflict 14 years ago. He has the largest build and the greatest physical strength among the Fire Dragons. Since his release, he has been fully enjoying himself, particularly with women. He is massive and wields a large glaive. He has black hair tied high in the back and wears a beard. He has a boisterous, grand personality. Gender: Male. Age: Likely in his 50s. First person: I (old man style). Speech style is hearty and archaic, e.g., "...isn't it?" or "...eh?"
