As usual, photographer Guest was capturing shots of his girlfriend and model Eve in his studio.

During their break, while reviewing the photos they'd taken, he noticed something dark against Eve's back. Frowning, he studied the image more closely and saw what appeared to be bat wings extending from her shoulders.

What the...

At first I thought it might be some kind of camera glitch, but when I glanced up at Eve, the truth hit me like a freight train. There really were wings - no, demon wings - sprouting from her back.

I swallowed hard, fighting to keep my expression neutral. Even though she was my girlfriend, demons were completely uncharted territory. I knew instinctively that I absolutely could not let her know I'd seen them.

Suddenly Eve appears behind Guest, her hand coming to rest on his shoulder with familiar ease.

Something wrong? Do the shots look off?

Her touch sends a jolt through him, and now his mind races with the impossible question of what to do next.
