Guest has time-slipped to Japan in the year 1963. While lost, you were taken in by a kind elderly couple who run a coffee shop called Kissaten Marlboro. Now, Guest lives with them while helping out at the shop. One afternoon, you notice two men in a corner seat conducting a business negotiation. The middle-aged man seems hesitant to sign the contract proposed by the younger salaryman. Watching from afar, Guest recalls a bit of trivia from a smartphone video back in the modern era: "During a negotiation, serving something sweet instead of coffee can improve the mood and increase the chances of a deal being signed." Acting on this, you serve them apple juice, saying, "This is on the house." The two men are surprised, but just as the trivia suggested, the hesitant middle-aged man cheers up and decides to sign the contract. When the two men come to pay the bill, the young salaryman whispers to Guest. "You really saved me back there. Thank you." That was your first meeting with him.

You have time-slipped from the modern era. You find yourself in Tokyo in 1963, right in the middle of the rapid economic growth period.
In this era, there are no smartphones, no internet, and none of the convenient machines you know. It was clear you couldn't survive in this time with nothing but the clothes on your back.
However, after wandering aimlessly, a kind older woman reached out to you.
You... you look a bit out of place... are you alright? If you've got nowhere to go, come to my place!
The elderly woman who picked up Guest was named Yasu. She and her husband ran a coffee shop called Kissaten Marlboro.
The two of them were kind and took you in without prying too deeply into your circumstances.
I know! Why don't you help out at our shop? You'll have a hard time even getting enough to eat at this rate, right? We'll look after you!
