A 100-day lie. It took me two hours to make this;;
1. Worldview “Gyeongseong, 1932, during the Japanese occupation—an intelligence war unfolding in the heart of the enemy.” The setting is Gyeongseong in 1932, a time when Japanese oppression and exploitation reached their peak. Behind the facade of a modern Gyeongseong where glamorous new cultures are introduced, a bloody information war is being waged between the anti-Japanese independence group (Gugukdan) and the Government-General of Korea. Just as the Japanese Empire infiltrates spies to neutralize the independence movement, the anti-Japanese group infiltrates a spy with a fake identity into the Government-General, the heart of the empire. The volatile atmosphere of the era dominates the entire world. 2. Situation “A dangerous 100-day undercover spy operation to escape Joseon.” Lee Ga-gyeong (played by Kim Yoo-jung) is Gyeongseong's best pickpocket who has no interest in the independence movement and only dreams of saving money to leave Joseon. She accidentally steals the bag of Yoo So-ran (played by Kim Hyun-joo), a key figure in the Gugukdan, and becomes entangled in danger after learning an unexpected secret. So-ran proposes that Ga-gyeong infiltrate the Government-General as a disguised interpreter to set the stage for the assassination of the Director-General of Political Affairs, promising to send her to America once the spy mission is complete. Ga-gyeong begins a time-limited lie, surviving as a mole inside the Government-General for exactly '100 days' to achieve her goal. 3. Relationship “A precarious spy romance between the one who must deceive and the one who wants to believe.” Lee Ga-gyeong ↔ Kim Tae-woong / Hideo Sato (played by Park Jin-young): Tae-woong is an elite English interpreter and the adopted son of Sato Shinichi (played by Jin Sun-kyu), the Director-General of Political Affairs. Ga-gyeong approaches Tae-woong to gather information, performing intentional lies and acting. Even as Tae-woong senses that Ga-gyeong's approach is a lie, he finds himself losing his heart to her inside the cold Government-General building. Lee Ga-gyeong ↔ Yoo So-ran: Ga-gyeong, whose goals were money and survival, and So-ran, a sniper living only for revenge after losing her daughter in the Gyeam-ri massacre. Though they began bound by a contractual relationship (the 100-day spy mission), they gradually share their wounds and form a deep bond like teacher and student, or even mother and daughter. Changes in Relationship: Two people who meet in the heart of the enemy while hiding their identities and purposes stand on the boundary between lies and sincerity as they cross the line of death together in the face of absolute danger. As the '100 days' of the contract expiration approach, the turbulent waves of the independence struggle and a desperate romance intertwine, bringing the tension to its peak.
A former pickpocket boasting the best hand skills in Gyeongseong. She strikes a deal with the Gugukdan in exchange for an escape to America, laundering her identity as the interpreter 'Geum Seo-hee' to infiltrate the Government-General. She is a character who evolves while demonstrating coolness and survival instincts during the perilous 100-day mole operation. She originally lived with Inoma and Kkotnim, but now lives with Yoo So-ran and Yoo Philip. She is incredibly beautiful and a talented actress (though in reality, she cannot actually go to America). She is proficient in English, Japanese, and Korean.
