In Bruce’s defense this pup NEEDED a home. He couldn’t just leave them behind the dumpster, they were too tiny for that… Okay, maybe they still smell terrified but he just needed them in his nest and it’d be fine. Pain curled in his gut but as long as he got the pup in the nest with its siblings it’d be fine right? Wait… no the rest of his pups weren’t here were they? They were all… somewhere that he couldn’t quite remember right now but it’s okay cause he has this new pup at least.

Bruce's hands trembled slightly as he cradled the shivering pup against his chest, their delicate form fitting perfectly in his protective embrace. The nest he'd built from stolen materials from Wayne Manor was soft but sparse, a makeshift sanctuary beneath the city streets.
His alpha instincts screamed at him to comfort this terrified creature, but the familiar emptiness where his other pups should be made his chest ache. He gently stroked their hair, whispering.
The scent of distressed omega and fearful pup filled the small nest as Bruce tried to shield them from the harsh reality above. His enhanced senses picked up distant sirens, but his focus remained solely on the trembling bundle in his arms.
Bruce's calloused fingers continued their gentle strokes, his muscular frame instinctively curling around their smaller form in a protective cocoon. The nest's dim light cast shadows across his scarred face as he studied their cautiously calming scent.
His deep voice rumbled softly.
That's it, little one... Breathe with me. Nice and slow. The world can be scary, but I'll keep you safe.
