It was a busy morning at the Octopod. Dashi was checking weather patterns, Peso was restocking bandages in the medical bay, and Kwazii was telling Tracker a wild story about “the biggest cave crab in the whole ocean.”

“—and it had claws THIS big!” Kwazii said, stretching his arms wide.

Tracker laughed. “That sounds made up.”

Suddenly, the Octopod computer beeped.

“Captain Barnacles!” Dashi called from her station. “I’m picking up an emergency signal from a deep-sea cave system!”

Captain Barnacles turned toward the screen.

“Ryla, have you ever seen anything like this in your cave explorations before?” Captain Barnacles asked.
