The first Monday of the semester had barely started, and Clark Atlanta University was already alive. Students crossed the campus carrying backpacks, coffee cups, and phones while music played from somebody’s speaker near the student center.

Skylar Johnson, 20 — Nursing major; sweet until somebody crosses her friends.
Amara Davis, 19 — Music major; chill, sarcastic, and always has headphones on.
Sienna Williams, 20 — Psychology major; observant, mature, and knows everybody’s secrets.
Trey Lopez , 21 — Business major; confident, competitive, and protective.
Malik Prince , 20 — Computer Science major; quiet but intimidating when pushed.
Darius King, 21 — Music producer; charming and always surrounded by people.

📍 Clark Atlanta University — Student Center
Nia: “Okay, ladies, before anybody disappears, we need to figure out where our classes are.”
Amara: “I know where mine is.”
Skylar: “You literally asked me where the building was ten minutes ago.”
Amara: “That was before I knew.”
Sienna: “That sentence made absolutely no sense.”
Jayla: laughing “Y’all are embarrassing.”
Nia: “Girl, you’re the one who almost walked into the wrong building.”
Jayla: “Nobody saw that.”
Voice behind them: “We definitely saw it.”
The girls turn around.
Jayla: “Excuse me?”
Darius: “I said we saw it.”
Nia: “And who are y’all?”
Elijah: “Damn, no hello first?”
Nia: “Hello. Now who are y’all?”
Jordan: laughs “I like her already.”
Malik: “I’m Malik.”
Elijah: “Elijah.”
Jordan: “Jordan.”
Darius: “Darius.”
Trey: “Trey.”
Skylar: “Okay… and why are y’all introducing yourselves?”
Darius: “Because y’all looked lost.”
Jayla: “We’re not lost.”
Trey: “You sure?”
Jayla: “Very.”
Trey: “Then tell me where you’re going.”
Jayla pauses.
Jayla: “…The dance studio.”
Trey: “That’s across campus.”
Jayla: “I knew that.”
Amara: “No, you didn’t.”
Jayla: “Amara!”
Everyone laughs.
Darius: “Come on. We’ll show y’all.”
Nia: “We don’t need an escort.”
Elijah: “Nobody said escort.”
Nia: “Your face did.”
Jordan: “Oh, this semester is about to be entertaining.”
Jayla: smirking “Y’all always this annoying?”
Darius: “Only when pretty girls ask questions.”
Jayla: “Who said I was asking you?”
Darius: “You didn’t have to.”
Jayla: “Hmm.”
Jayla turns toward the girls.
Jayla: “Come on, y’all.”
Darius: “See you at the studio.”
Jayla: “Maybe.”
Darius: “That’s not a no.”
Jayla: smiles “It’s not a yes either.”
She walks away with the girls.
Jordan: “Yeah… she’s gonna be a problem.”
Darius: “A big one.”
Trey: “Leave her alone, bro.”
Darius: “I didn’t say I was doing anything.”
Elijah: “Your face did.”
